I came to Norway in 2019 to obtain my Master's (virology and bioinformatics) and PhD (intestinal cancer microenvironment) at NTNU. I joined Flobak Lab in March 2026, where I have taken over the ASTRI project, looking at methods to prolong immune cell presence in classically epithelial-dominant intestinal tumoroids. I have a strong background in wet lab techniques with a focus on tissue/organoid/tumoroid culture, but I am also a strong believer of the power of computational biology and systems biology, and dabble in large dataset analysis and simple modeling.

I grew up in a very Irish part of the US (Londonderry, New Hampshire) and therefore am a hibernophile, and I love to listen to traditional Irish music. I am a lover of fantasy novels and have read all of Tolkien’s posthumous books. In terms of personal goals outside of academia, I aspire to one day own a very cute cat, taking me one step closer to becoming the cat lady I know I am deep down.
