I am a medical doctor and PhD-student working on developing protocols for cultivating patient-derived tumoroids, exposing these to anti-cancer drugs, and evaluating their response using label-free imaging techniques.
Being a clinician by training, undertaking a preclinical project such as this has been a challenging and educational process. My hope is that the methods I have helped develop in the future will lead to cancer patients receiving more effective anti-cancer treatment,as well as further our understanding of this king of all maladies.
When not doing research, or working in the clinic, I find leisure in climbing, skiing, reading, and seeking out new experiences.
